DINNER GHOSTS IN HAUNTED RESTAURANTS

Victoria has over 15 haunted restaurants and pubs! The resident ghosts have eclectic tastes because the places they inhabit range from the small and inexpensive to the large and elegant, and include restaurants that specialize in a wide range of food styles. Each year, Dinner Ghosts selects a few of theses spooky eateries for a unique evening of ghostly lore and paranormal presentations..

Dinner Ghosts is an evening program designed to combine fine food with plenty of interesting and unusual history and ghost stories in an informal, friendly setting.

Dinners are scheduled in different restaurants on selected Friday evenings in January, February and March each year and at other times by special arrangement. They are very popular for private functions such as birthdays, office parties, conferences and conventions.

Reservations are required because numbers are limited. 384-6698.

If you have a group of 12 or more you may book a private Dinner Ghosts program on any night and at a wide choice of restaurants, depending on availability. The all-inclusive price (exclusive of liquor) varies from $35 to $55, depending on the location, and may be subject to change.

An Evening with Doris Gravlin, the Golf Course Ghost

(This program is available for private bookings only.)

One of British Columbia's most famous ghosts is Doris Gravlin, a nurse who was murdered by her husband on the Victoria Golf Course on September 22, 1936. The ghost of Doris Gravlin is frequently seen along the 7th fairway and the adjacent beach (where her body was found) and in numerous other places nearby.

An Evening with Doris provides fascinating background about Doris, her murder and explains why she has returned to haunt the Victoria Golf Course. It may be conducted in various locations, either over dinner or as an evening talk.
